Canada has the impeccable infrastructure, good standard of living, modernized facilities and wonderful growth opportunities in every profession. It is highly abundant in natural resources as well and blessed with scenic beauty. It is paradise on earth with something to offer to every generation and the warm reception that the immigrants receive in the country is a cherry on the cake which helps the immigrants joyously settle in Canada. Many people from Navi Mumbai in search of better professional opportunities have migrated to Canada and they have found their niche in Canada with high paying salaries. There has been the influx of immigrants from Navi Mumbai to Canada recently.

Which is the best way to immigrate to Canada?

Most of the candidates undertake the mistake of immigrating to Canada with a temporary visa, work permit but the best way to immigrate to Canada is through the Permanent Residency(PR) status of Canada. It is just like the American Green Card which is allotted for a five-year period and is a family visa which has benefits very similar to the Canadian Citizen. Some of the benefits of the Permanent Residency(PR) status are – free healthcare, free education and protection against crime under the Canadian Charter 6 of the right of freedom. There are three best ways through which the candidate can avail the permanent residency status – Express Entry Program, Provincial Nominee Program(PNP) and Quebec Skilled Workers Program (QSWP).

Express Entry Program

It is an online federal system of selection through which the candidate can immigrate to Canada in 6 months or less than 6 months in certain cases. It is an initiation by the Government of Canada through which the skilled candidates can immigrate to Canada without any hassle. The candidates are evaluated on the basis of point-based measurement in which every candidate is scored and ranked and those candidates who achieve the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score as decided by the IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada) through the Express Entry Draws are selected and sent the ITA (Invitation to Apply), which needs to be responded in 60 days time.

Provincial Nominee Program(PNP)

The Provincial Nominee Program(PNP) is a province based nomination in which every province would select the candidates and nominate them for staying in the province. The eligibility criteria for that needs to be met by the candidate which is different for every province and is based on the labor market demand of that region. Further, all those candidates who achieve the provincial nomination are eligible for 600 bonus points in the express entry comprehensive ranking System(CRS) score.

Quebec Skilled Workers Program (QSWP)

The process of immigration to Quebec is divided into two stages – First the approval is sought from Quebec government and certificate of selection (CSQ) is achieved by the candidate then the approval is sought from the federal government for the Candidates immigration. The province of Quebec places huge importance of the knowledge of French language.

APPLY FOR THE PR STATUS OF CANADA THROUGH EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAM

How long is the process of Immigration to Canada through Permanent Residency(PR) Status?

The immigration to Canada depends on the individual’s case and the program through which the candidate has applied for the Permanent Residency(PR) Status of Canada. However, the fastest and the quickest way to immigrate to Canada is through the Express Entry program as per which the candidate can immigrate to Canada in 6 months or less than 6 months in certain cases.

WHAT ARE THE WORK OPPORTUNITIES IN CANADA?

What has been the latest trend with respect to the invitations to Canada?

As per the latest Canada Immigration plan 2018 – 2020, the Canada government has a target of 9,80,000 new Permanent Resident holders in the country and most of them immigrated through the economic parameter of Express Entry program. The expected number of immigrants through the Express Entry are 2,42,100. With the processing time of 6 months or less the express entry has been a very popular initiative of the Government of Canada.

These figures through a light at the speculation that the comprehensive rankings system (CRS) score that will be asked by the IRCC will be low as Canada would like to invite more and more applications to fill in the immigrants’ demand till 2020.

WHAT ARE THE DOCUMENTS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR IMMIGRATION TO CANADA?

What is the monetary expenditure requirement for Canada Permanent Residency(PR) status?

The fee structure and the expenditure related to the immigration to Canada can vary as per the program the candidate has applied to and also as per the candidature. But there is a general expenditure that is asked for, from the candidate and that is in line with the expenditure through the popular program of express entry for the Permanent Residency(PR) status of Canada.

The list of the expenditure for the Canada Permanent Residency(PR) status is as below:

  • IELTS FEE = Rs. 12,100
  • ECA FEE = 200$ CAD
  • MEDICAL FEE = 50 $ CAD

  • SECONDARY CANDIDATE FEE = 550 $CAD
  • DEPENDENT FEE = 150 $CAD
  • TRAVELLING FEE = 400 $CAD
