How to Settle in Canada Under Express Entry Program ?

The Express Entry program was first introduced in 2015. The main objective of the program was to make the immigration process to Canada quick and easy. So far, it has certainly been able to do that and become one of the main reasons why Canada immigration has become so popular in just two years. Now, as the Express Entry program enters into its 3rd year of service, the IRCC is putting even more stress on making it the best immigration program in the world. Let us go through the steps involved in making your Canada immigration application through the Express Entry program for 2019 so that you are clear on how to apply.

  • Create an Express Entry Profile

For most people, applying for immigration to Canada is going to be through the Express entry program. So, the first thing you need to do is to go online and create an Express Entry profile. You will need to put in relevant information such as age, language ability, educational qualification, work experience etc. Make sure that all the information you provide in your Express Entry profile is correct. We say this because if your profile gets selected and later it is found out that the info you provided does not match the info on your official documents, then your immigration application will get rejected. Not just that, but if the IRCC thinks that you had intended to cheat them by providing wrong information, then you can get barred from applying again for the next 5 years. So, make sure all your info is complete and backed up by proper documents.

This means that you will need documents that can specifically show that all your Express Entry profile information is authentic. The following list will tell you the documents you need to have to formally make your Canada immigration application in 2019:

Settle in Canada Documents Required for Indian

  1. IELTS or TEF exam results showing that you have enough scores to apply for Canada immigration.
  2. A PNP nomination that shows you have been selected for immigration by a province in Canada.
  3. A valid job offer by a Canadian employer.
  4. Proof of fund showing you have enough liability free money to support yourself and your family once you have moved to Canada (only for those immigrating to Canada through the Occupation in-Demand stream)
  5. Validated passports
  6. Educational Credential Assessment reports that show that your educational qualification is equal to the degrees and diplomas issued in the Canadian education system.

  • Getting your CRS Score
  • After you have completed your Express Entry profile, you will get a CRS score based on an assessment of the particulars you have entered in your profile. This score is going to be the basis for you getting through with your Canada immigration and eventually moving to the country with you and your family. For this reason, you should make sure that your CRS score is as high as possible. The average cut-off during 2018 has been around 440, but this is expected to fall to around 430 or even 420 as Canada wants to get more people into the country to take up good jobs. So, if you want to move to Canada, then there is no time like now. Here are some very basic ways you can increase your CRS above the minimum cut-off:

  • Get better IELTS scores
  • IELTS is literally easy marks for no effort at all. If you have even a basic understanding of the English language, you can score above the minimum cut-off and with our expert IELTS training classes, you can score even better and give your CRS score a major boost. Contact us today to know more about our IELTS training courses today!

  • Learn French
  • Under the new rules of the Canada immigration system, you can get extra points for knowing basic French. Take up an online course and get a basic understanding of the language. This will also help you professionally as you will become a much more useful employee for your potential employers simply by knowing French.

  • Improve Your Educational Qualification
  • We know that this might sound like a long-term thing, while you want to move to Canada as quickly as possible, but hear us out! The very basic educational qualification needed by Canada for Indians to immigrate to Canada is a Bachelor’s degree. However, you are going to need at least a Master’s degree to get a good job in Canada and that is why we suggest doing your master’s and then applying for immigration to Canada.

  • Get more Work Experience
  • You actually need just 1 year of working experience to apply for Canada immigration. But that is not going to help you much in getting a good job. Ideally, you should combine your educational qualifications with around 3 years of work experience to get the optimal CRS points. Also, by that time you will be between 25 to 30 years old and that is the best time to apply for immigration to Canada.

Want to know more about how to improve you CRS score? Need professional help in maximizing your CRS score and ensuring that you get selected for immigration to Canada? Let Nationwide Immigration show you the way. Our professional immigration experts will make sure that you get the highest CRS score possible and get selected for Canada immigration. Fill out our free immigration form to get started on making your Canada immigration dream real in 2019!

  • Wait for the Draw
  • The Express Entry draws are held every 15 days or so. It is expected that now they will be held more frequently since Canada wants to get more people into the country. Once the Express Entry draws are made, if your application scores above the cut-off, then you will get an Invitation to Apply for ITA from the IRCC authorities. Once you have the ITA, you will have 90 days to apply for PR visa and another 12 months to move to Canada once you have your PR visa with you.

Want to stay in touch with the latest developments in Canada immigration? Let us help you stay right on top of this through our services.
