Invited candidates had profiles in Manitoba’s Expression of Interest (EOI) pool. Out of these invited candidates, 14 candidates were selected from the federal government’s Express Entry program.
Latest provincial draw issued Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in the following manner:
So far in this year, MPNP has issued a total of 1,931 LAAs.
A total of 14 Express entry candidates were invited in the latest round of invitations. For express entry candidates to be considered for a provincial nomination, they need to have a valid express entry ID and a job seeker validation code.
Express entry program is the main source of skilled immigrants, with the profiles are ranked in the express entry pool with the help of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Points are awarded to the express entry profiles based on the candidate’s credentials like age, language proficiency, work experience, etc. Highest-scoring candidates are then issued an Invitation to Apply (ITAs) to apply for Canada PR Visa.
Express Entry candidates who are able to get a provincial nomination are awarded 600 CRS points, efficiently guaranteeing an ITA. Express entry candidates also needed to have a file in Manitoba’s EOI system.
For the candidates under MPNP’s Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas to be considered for a provincial nomination, they are required to have an EOI register with the MPNP.
EOI profiles are awarded points out of a total of 1000 points. These points are awarded based on factors like candidate’s education, work experience, connections to Manitoba, and language proficiency in English or French, among other major factors.
In the latest draw, candidates invited under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream had a score of 475 points. The lowest-ranked candidate invited from the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream had a score of 802 points.
MPNP’s Skilled Worker Overseas category allows the province to nominate skilled foreign workers who can help in the province’s local labour market.
Candidates must have an established connection to Manitoba such as close family or friends, previous education or work experience in the province, or an invitation through one of the MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives, among other requirements.
All the candidates invited through Skilled Workers Overseas Stream were directly invited by MPNP under Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
For the candidates invited under Skilled Workers in the Manitoba category, they must have a full-time, permanent job offer from an eligible employer of the province, among other major requirements.
Manitoba graduates with certain in-demand skills may be invited under the International Education Stream. There are three sub-categories under this stream: Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the International Student Entrepreneur Pilot. 15 LAAs were issued to International Education Stream candidates in this latest provincial draw.
