Province of Manitoba in its latest Expression of Interest (EOI) draw issued a total of 132 invitations to the immigrants who have applied for a provincial nomination through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) for Canada permanent resident on the draw held on April 23.
Out of 132 invitations, seven were issued to the Express Entry candidates. Candidates with valid express entry profiles are ranked in the express entry pool with the use of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Highest-ranked profiles are then issued ITAs through frequently held express draws to apply for Canada PR Visa.
For an express entry candidate to get a provincial nomination certificate, it awards them with major 600 CRS points. These many points effectively guarantee the candidate to get an ITA.
In the latest draw, Invitations were issued to the candidate under MPNP’s Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education Stream.
Under MPNP’s Skilled Workers stream a total of 93 Letters Of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued. This stream provides an immigration pathway for eligible temporary foreign workers in the province and international graduates of province post-secondary institutions to apply for permanent residency.
To be eligible, candidates must have a job offer and work in the province, among other major requirements.
The candidate’s EOI profile is then awarded points out of a total of 1,000 points based on the MPNP’s point assessment grid.
The lowest-ranked Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidate selected in the latest draw had a score of 489.
25 LAAs were issued to MPNP’s Skilled Worker Overseas candidates. Candidates were invited directly through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, which can include overseas recruitment missions organized by the MPNP, often in collaboration with eligible employers of the province.
The lowest-ranked Skilled Worker Overseas candidate selected in the latest draw had a score of 714.
Graduates from the province may be selected with certain in-demand skills through MPNP’s International Education Stream. There are three sub-categories: Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the International Student Entrepreneur Pilot.
A total of 14 LAAs were issued under this MPNP’s stream.
