222 Candidates Invited by Manitoba for Provincial Nomination for Canada PR Visa

Latest Manitoba EOI draw invites a total of 222 candidates for a provincial nomination for Canada PR Visa. Candidates were invited through MPNP’s streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education Stream as well as some Express entry candidates.

Province of Manitoba held its latest Expression of Interest (EOI) draw on March 12th and invited a total of 222 immigrants who have applied for provincial nomination under Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) for Canada PR Visa.

Total 222 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued in the latest EOI draw for MPNP’s registered candidates under the following streams:

  • Skilled Workers In Manitoba: 191
  • Skilled Workers Overseas: 13
  • International Education Stream: 18

Also, 17 LAAs were issued to express entry candidates who have submitted a separate EOI with the MPNP for provincial nomination.

Express entry program manages the profiles of the candidates who have applied for Canada PR Visa through Canada’s three major skilled economic immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Once the candidate’s express entry profile is created, it is submitted into the express pool where with the help of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), they are ranked according to their CRS score. CRS score is awarded based on the candidate’s credentials like age, language proficiency, etc.

Highest ranked express profiles are then issued Invitation to Apply (ITA) to apply for Canada PR Visa to the Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through frequently held express entry draws.

For an express entry candidate to get a provincial nomination certificate, they are awarded major 600 CRS points, effectively guaranteeing to get an ITA.

Express entry candidate needs to submit an EOI to the MPNP, as well must have work experience in an occupation that is in-demand in the province, among other major criteria.

For an immigrant to register under MPNP’s Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas categories, they are required to register an EOI. Once the EOI profile is created of the candidate, it ranked out of a score of 1,000 points that are awarded based on factors like a connection to the province, language proficiency, education, etc.

In the latest draw, candidates invited under Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream had a score of 496 points, and Skilled Worker Overseas Stream had a score of 672 points.

MPNP’s Skilled Worker Overseas Category allows the province to select and nominate skilled immigrants who can easily integrate and help in the province’s local labour market.

They need to have a strong established connection to a province like a family member or friends, previous education or work experience in the province, or an invitation through one of MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives, among other requirements.

A total of 13 candidates were invited through Skilled Worker Overseas Stream by MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

191 candidates invited under MPNP’s Skilled Workers in Manitoba category needs to have a full-time permanent job offer from an eligible employer of the province, among other major requirements.

International Skilled graduates from Manitoba with in-demand skills are invited under the International Education Stream. This stream includes three sub-categories: Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the Student Entrepreneur Pathway.
