Canada Charts a Consistent 3,900 ITA with the Latest Express Entry Draw on 29th October, 2018

Canada immigration is producing quite a buzz now that the CIC has issued 3,900 Invitations to Apply for the past few Express Entry Draws. Held once every 15 days or so, these Draws are used to send to Canada PR application invites to deserving candidates who score above the CRS cut-off.

What Does a 3,900 ITA Issue Mean for Canada Immigration Hopefuls?

3,900 ITAs is among the highest ever number of ITAs issued by the CIC in any single Express Entry Draw. In the past 3 draws, this number has remained consistent. This shows that the CIC is acting quickly on its multi-year immigration program. This program is set to bring in 525,000 skilled professionals into Canada by 2020.

For 2018, the CIC set its ITA goal at 74,900. So far, the CIC has 74,200 ITAs in 2018 and is set to meet its target with ease and maybe even exceed it. This can only mean positive things for Canada immigration applicants as they can expect even more ITAs sent out to deserving candidates in the following months.

What is the Average CRS Eligibility Score for ITA in 2018?

Generally speaking, Canada immigration through Express Entry Draws has kept a CRS eligibility score of about 440. In the latest Express Entry Draw held on October 29th, 2018, the CRS cut-off was raised to 442. This is not a major increase but it does show that the CIC wants to get in a certain standard of working professionals. According to experts, the CRS score expected to remain around the 440s for at least the next few Express Entry Draws.

 

How Does CIC Award ITAs Between Candidates with the Same CRS score?

Since there are always a lot of applicants who are competing for the same seat, the CIC uses a tie-breaker rule to decide who gets the ITA. This tie-breaker rule is based on the idea of first-come-first-serve. Basically, any application sent before October 16th 9:04 PM UTC was given priority over others in this Express Entry Draw. So, it is a good idea to apply as early as possible.
