Province of Nova Scotia has invited a total of 144 Express Entry candidates through its Labour Market Priorities Stream to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence. Express Entry candidates that were invited must be working in advertising, marketing or public relations with National Occupation Code (NOC) – 1123.
Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)’s stream – Labour Market Priorities Stream allows the province to search for skilled immigrants who are able to meet the labour market needs in the federal government’s express pool. Since the launch of the steam in 2018, stream has invited immigrants who have work experience as early childhood education workers, financial auditors, and accountants, social workers, as well as French-speaking Express Entry candidates.
All the invited immigrants are required to provide a letter of reference from employers in order to demonstrate that they have two or more years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in advertising, marketing or public relations within five years preceding the application. They must select English as their first official language and must get a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 9 or higher in all four abilities (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing).
For education qualification, the candidate needs to have a master’s degree, and provide proof of education equivalency via an Education Credential Assessment (ECA).
Candidate needs to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to the express pool on or after Jan 1, 2019.
The invited candidate was given the provincial nomination certificate that gives them a major boost of 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. These many points effectively guarantee the candidate to get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to apply for Canada PR Visa to the Immigration, Refugee & Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
A selected candidate who has received a Letter of Invitation in the latest draw must submit a complete application to NSNP no later than Jan 19, 2020.

Before initiating the immigration process, I was a bit skeptical, however, after having a word with their consultant who explained the whole process to me over the phone without trying to sell their service, I felt assured. I did not give it a second thought and initiated my immigration process. All the case managers at Nationwide Visas are well-versed with the process and never fall short of expectations whenever I walk up to them with any queries.
