Province of Alberta has released details of the two provincial draw held in the month of October, with 401 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination for Canada Permanent Resident Visa.
372 Express entry candidates were invited in the draw held on October 24. Express entry, a point-based program, manages the profile of the candidates registered under Canada’s three major skilled economic immigration programs – Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
For an Express entry candidate to land a provincial nomination certificate, they are awarded 600 CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points. These many points efficiently make sure that candidate gets ITA (Invitation to Apply) to apply for Canada PR Visa to the Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
To select express entry candidates for provincial nomination, Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) has a stream that is in line with the Federal government’s Express Entry program. This stream is Alberta Express Entry Stream. Express Entry candidates who are able to meet the economical requirements of provinces are issued the invitations. For express entry candidates to be eligible they have to demonstrate strong ties to province, or who are able to support province’s economic development and diversification objectives.

Now, on provincial draw held on October 24 invited express entry candidates who have CRS scores as lows as 300 and the second draw held on October 30 issued invitation to 29 candidates with CRS score of 350 and above.
