Federal Skilled Traders Class invited 400 applications in Canada with the CRS cut of 284 points

Federal Skilled Traders Class CRS cut of 284 points

It was one of the rarest Express Entry Draws which was announced on 24th September, 2018 as there were a total number of 400 applications invited under the Express Entry Program Sub Category Federal Skilled Traders Class with the cut off of Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points 284. This means that all the candidates who applied under the Federal Skilled Traders Class (FSTC) and secured 284 points or above are considered fit to apply for the Permanent Residency(PR) status and will be issued an ITA (Invitation to Apply) in this draw.

The tie-break rule will be applied in this Express Entry Draw for entries submitted before February 18, 2018, at 12:31:16 UTC. Prior to this, the last Draws were held on 30th May, 2018 and there were 500 FSTC candidates with the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut off of 288 points were invited in those draws.

The FSTC program of Express Entry, allows the candidates who have a valid job offer and are certified to work in certain professions can obtain permanent residency(PR) status of Canada.

Some of the basic requirements of FSTC are –

  • Minimum two years of full-time work experience or equal amount of part-time work experience om a skilled trade in last five years.
  • Meet the job requirements for a skilled trade as set by the National Occupational Classification(NOC)
  • Have a valid job offer of full-time employment for a total of one year.
