Manitoba provincial nomination program held the latest draw on April 11 in which they issued 403 invitations to the immigrants interested in moving to the province of Manitoba by MPNP’s Skilled Workers Overseas stream.
Latest Manitoba draw held on April 11, issued a total 403 invitations in which 352 invitations were issued in two groups of applicants under which an uncertain number of invitations were also issued to the federal government’s express entry program registered candidates. As we know express entry is a point-based program that manages the profiles of the skilled immigrants who have registered under Canada’s three skilled immigration programs – Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Express entry candidate who have successfully landed the provincial nomination is awarded 600 CRS points and these many points make sure that the candidate is able to land the Invitation to Apply (ITA) via which they can apply for Canada PR visa to the Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Express entry candidates who are applying for MPNP, needs to have a valid express entry ID and job-seeker validation code and minimum six months of work experience in an occupation that is categorized under NOC skill level 0, A or B and must be in Manitoba’s Occupation in-demand list.
For candidates to apply for Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP) they need to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) profile to the MPNP. EOI profiles of the candidates are awarded points based on some awarding factors like age, educational qualification, work experience and “Manitoba Connection”. “Manitoba connection” means that the applicant must be having any family member or friend living in the province of Manitoba as a permanent resident and must be willing to sponsor the application for the PR visa of the candidate. Profiles with the highest rank are then issued invitation by the regular draws.
The other group who have issued the invitations in the latest draw needs to also meet the following criteria:
Invitations issued under both categories in the latest Manitoba draw were given to the candidate with the lowest score of 561 points.
Other than the above mentioned 352 invitations, 51 invitations were issued via Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. These initiatives include overseas recruitment missions conducted by MPNP in association with Manitoba business. Candidate with the lowest score under MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiative had 695 points.

Before initiating the immigration process, I was a bit skeptical, however, after having a word with their consultant who explained the whole process to me over the phone without trying to sell their service, I felt assured. I did not give it a second thought and initiated my immigration process. All the case managers at Nationwide Visas are well-versed with the process and never fall short of expectations whenever I walk up to them with any queries.
