Latest EOI Draw By Manitoba Invited Skilled Workers and International Graduates

Province of Manitoba held their Expression of Interest (EOI) draw on May 23, inviting a total 196 immigrants who have applied for Canadian PR visa via Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

Out of total 196 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) that were issued, 119 were issued to the immigrants under Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream, 60 to Skilled Workers Overseas and 17 were issued to the International Education Stream to international graduates of Manitoba post-secondary institutions.

Manitoba’s provincial nominee program (MPNP) allows the province to invite/nominate the skilled and capable immigrants whose skills are required by eligible employer of the province and allow them to settle in the province permanently and help in the economical development of the province.

As the information provided by the provincial office of Manitoba, a total 27 LAAs were given to the express entry program candidates that were having a valid job seeker validation code and work experience in an occupation that is in-demand in the province.

Express entry is a point-based program that manages the profile of the candidates who have applied under Canada’s three skilled immigration programs – Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). If an express entry candidates land a provincial nomination, they are awarded with 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

Manitoba PNP’s skilled worker in Manitoba stream is for the eligible temporary foreign workers and international graduates that are currently living in province and have a permanent full-time job offer from an employer of Manitoba province.

Skilled Worker Overseas allows MPNP to nominate the immigrants who are living outside of Canada, and are having a “Manitoba connection”, previous education or work experience in the province or invited under one of the MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. 60 LAAs were issued to the candidates registered under this category by the latest EOI draw held on May 23.

For candidates to be considered for provincial nomination, first they need to complete their Expression of Interest (EOI) profile. Candidates have to provide their credentials based on which they will be awarded points. These credentials include educational qualification, work experience, language proficiency, Manitoba connection and other details.

Candidates with the highest points are invited from the pool via these regularly held draws.

Minimum score requirement for LAAs in the latest draw for Skilled Workers in Manitoba was 548 points and for Skilled Workers Overseas was 506 points.

With this latest round of invitations, Manitoba has issued a total of 4,320 invitations in this year 2019.
