Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the latest express draw on May 29, to issue Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the candidates registered under Express entry program to apply for Canada PR visa.
The latest express draw invited a total of 3,350 express entry registered candidates which also marks the return of the express draws to larger number of invitations. Last express draw held on May 15, issued only 500 ITAs as it was limited to Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).
As we know express entry is a point based program that manages the profiles of the candidates who have registered under Canada’s express entry program – Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). It uses a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to ranks the profiles of the registered candidate based on the points (CRS points) awarded to their express profiles for factors like age, language proficiency, educational qualification etc. Highest ranked profiles are then issued the ITAs via regularly held express draw.
The CRS cut-off for the latest express draw was 470 points. This much increase in CRS score cut-off is because of the gap of nearly a month between the two express draws. Mainly, the express draws are held on interval of two weeks. With this much gap in the express draws, it allows the express pool to replenish with more skilled and capable immigrants affecting the CRS score cut-off.
With the latest number of ITAs issued, it brings the total for ITAs issued until now for year 2019 to 35,100. Government of Canada has increased their admission rate for the skilled immigration program in accordance for their three year immigration Plan. This plan focuses to increase the number of ITAs issued for years: 2019, 2020 & 2021. Admission target for this year 2019 is 81,400 new permanent residents that is an increase of 6,500 admissions over the last year 2018 admission of 74,900.
Time stamp used for the latest express draw by IRCC was May 23, 2019 at 10:18:56 UTC. This means the candidates who have entered the express pool before the used time stamp and are able to score the minimum 470 points were issued the ITAs to apply for Canada PR visa.
There are ways for candidates to increase their CRS score in order to meet the CRS score cut-offs the express draws. One of the major ways is to get a provincial nomination. For an express entry candidate to get a provincial nomination means they will be awarded with 600 CRS points. These many points make sure that the candidate is able to get the ITA and apply for Canada PR visa.
Some of the major provincial nomination program (PNP) active in this year are as follows:

Ever since I have spoken to Team Nationwide, I have received all kinds of support I have looked for, starting from transcripts to IELTS coaching, they have helped me with everything. I already have referred three of my friends to them because of the fabulous service delivered by them and shall be doing it in the future too.
Quality work and friendliness is why I decided to opt for Nationwide Visas for preparing my application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Today, my parents are proud of me for making the right choice, it has all become possible because of Nationwide.
Nothing influences me more than a recommendation from a trusted friend, I got reference for Nationwide Visas through one of my friends, who got his ITA with the help of Team Nationwide. They explained the documentation process in detail and made the correct recommendations that I cherish now.
Before initiating the immigration process, I was a bit skeptical, however, after having a word with their consultant who explained the whole process to me over the phone without trying to sell their service, I felt assured. I did not give it a second thought and initiated my immigration process. All the case managers at Nationwide Visas are well-versed with the process and never fall short of expectations whenever I walk up to them with any queries.
For the past 4 months, I had been struggling with understanding the immigration process and was looking for a consultant who could not only explain the process, but also guide me regarding what all options were available to me. So, after reading their reviews, I approached Nationwide Visas, and true to their reviews, they explained the whole process to me while also giving me clear information about the chances I had at securing Canada PR Visa.
