Latest Express Entry Draw Issues 3,350 Invitations to the Canada PR visa Aspirants

Express Entry Latest Draw 17th Apr 19

The federal government of Canada held their latest express draw held on April 17 to invite the candidates who have registered under the Express entry program to apply for Canada PR visa.

Latest express draw issued total 3,350 invitations with CRS score cut-off set at 451 points. With this draw, the Canadian government has now issued a total of 27,900 invitations in the year 2019. Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has targeted to increase the admission rate for skilled immigrants via the three skilled immigration programs – Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

2018 was a record breaking year with the most number of invitations issued for skilled immigrants in a single year – 89,800 ITAs. Canada aims to make new record with the upcoming years that are – 2019, 2020 & 2021 with their three year immigration plan for high admission rate.

The entire candidate’s profiles who have registered under these skilled immigration programs are managed by the federal government’s express entry program.
Profile of the candidates in express entry program is awarded points based on the factors like age, language proficiency, educational qualification, work experience etc. Candidate profile with the most points is ranked highest in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

Highest ranked profiles have then issued the invitation to apply (ITA) via the regularly held express draws to apply for Canada PR visa.

With their tie-break rule, IRCC used time stamp – 15:01:49 UTC on April 2, 2019. This means the candidate who have entered into the express pool before the used time-stamp and had the minimum CRS score of 451 points were issued the ITAs in the latest express draw.

The candidate who were not able to get the ITA because of their CRS score, there are ways to increase it. Getting the provincial nomination is being one of them. A candidate who is able to land the provincial nomination are awarded 600 CRS points and these many points are more than enough to land the ITA to apply for Canada PR visa.
