Latest Express Entry 19th Sept 2018

On 19th September 2018, The Canada Government announced the Express Entry Draws for invitations for the Permanent Residency (PR) status of Canada in which the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score asked from the candidates was 441 points. This means that all those candidates with the Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of 441 or more were issued invites for the Permanent Residency (PR) status and a total number of 3,500 applications were invited to apply.

Key points of the latest Express Entry Draw are:

  • The Express Entry Draw was opened on 19th September, 2018 to 20th September, 2018
  • Usual trend of Express Entry Draws released after 15 days was not followed.
  • Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score asked is 441 points or above
  • IRCC invited 3,500 Candidates in this draw

Latest Express Entry Draws – 19th September 2018

The Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score requirement for this time was one point more than the last time from 440 to 441. As compared to the last Express Entry Draws, which was released on 5th September 2018 in which 3,900 applications were invited, this Draw was smaller in size with only 3,500 applications been issued invites. This time as well the Tie break rule was applied by the Government of Canada from 6th September, 2018. This means that all those candidates who submitted their applications before 6th September 2018 and have the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score point of 441 or above are considered applicable to apply.

The ITA (Invitation to apply) trend of 2018

There have been a total number of 62,100 ITAs (Invitation to Apply) issued invites so far in the year 2018 with total of 19 draws being announced. This puts the count ahead of Express Entry Draws announced in 2017 in which 60,742 ITAs (Invitation to Apply) were issued in the first 19 draws. By September 2017, the IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada) had announced 66,549 ITAs (Invitation to Apply) that means this year there is a less pace of 4,449 applications. But given the target as per the Canadian Immigration Plan 2018, it is expected that the ITAs (Invitation to Apply) issued this time will surpass the number of 2017.
