Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP) has continued its active start to the year 2019 by inviting Skilled Worker overseas category registered candidates via the latest draw held on March 14.
Manitoba PNP issued a total of 377 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to the candidates who have applied for nomination for permanent residence in Manitoba province. Candidates who have registered under federal government’s express entry candidates were also issued 274 LAAs. Manitoba has now issued 1,931 invitations via its Skilled Workers Overseas Stream in the year 2019 over the six draws.
As we know express entry is a point based program that manages the profile of the candidates who have registered under Canada three economic skilled immigration programs – Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). If express entry candidates successfully land the provincial nomination, they are awarded with 600 additional CRS points. These many points enable them to get the Invitation to Apply (ITA) to apply for Canada PR visa to the Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Now, Manitoba has a special agreement with the IRCC that allows them to nominate the skilled and capable immigrants for permanent residency in the province via the provincial nomination program – Manitoba provincial nomination program (MPNP). There are multiple streams under MPNP; Skilled Worker Overseas stream is one of them. In order to be considered for this stream, candidates first have to register for provincial nomination via the Expression of Interest (EOI) system with the MPNP. Candidate’s profile is then scored based on Manitoba’s point assessment grid. Skilled worker overseas candidate’s who were invited in this round have to meet the following requirements:
For express entry candidates, the highest-ranked profiles were invited for provincial nomination for Permanent residence visa via the latest draw. Lowest score of the candidates who was issued the invitation has the score of 564 points. Express entry candidates were also required to have:
Also, LAAs were issued to the candidates who have registered via the overseas Strategic Recruitment Initiative that is organized by the Manitoba’s employers in association with the MPNP. A total of 63 LAAs were issued. Lowest score for the candidates who were issued the LAA was 695 points.
