manitoba latest draw

In the recent Express of Interest’s Draw of Manitoba, a total of 360 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued for the candidates for a provincial nomination for Canada Permanent Residence through Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)’s Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways and International Education Stream.

Out of the 360 LAAs, 32 LAAs were issued to express entry registered candidates. Express Entry candidates who were able to get the provincial nomination, they are awarded major 600 CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points, thus ensuring them of getting an ITA (Invitation to Apply) to apply for Canada PR Visa to the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada).

241 LAAs went to the candidates registered under MPNP’s Skilled Worker in Manitoba. This immigration pathway is for the temporary foreign workers and international student graduates living in the province and has been offered a permanent job offer by an eligible employer of the province.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba

In order to be eligible under this stream, the candidate is required to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) profile by providing all the credentials like education, work experience and proficiency in English or French and other major criteria. Based on these factors, EOI profiles of the candidates are awarded points out of 1,000 and the profiles are submitted into the Manitoba EOI pool.

Candidate with the minimum score of 542 points was invited in the latest provincial draw.

Skilled Worker Overseas

83 Skilled Worker Overseas candidates were also invited in this draw. Candidates were invited under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative that includes overseas recruitment missions that are organized by the MPNP in association with Manitoba employers.  Candidates under this stream must complete an Expression of Interest and must meet the minimum requirement of this stream.

Express Entry candidates who were invited were required to have a valid Express Entry ID and must possess a job seeker validation code with verifiable experience in an occupation on Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations List.

Now, the third category of candidates who were invited was registered under International Education Stream (IES). This stream is for the Manitoba graduates who are fit for the province’s labour market needs. There are three sub-categories under this stream:

  • Career Employment Pathway
  • Graduate Internship Pathway
  • Student Entrepreneur Pathway

36 International Education Streams registered candidates were invited in this EOI draw

A total of 5,810 invitations are so far issued by MPNP so far in 2019 through 16 EOI’s draws.
