A new route to permanent residence is now available to potential immigrants from Ontario.
The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) is now accepting applications for the Regional Immigration Pilot Project.
To be eligible, candidates must meet the criteria of the OINP Employer Job Offer stream. Applicants must also have full-time, permanent job offers from employers located in one of three communities in Ontario:
The two-year pilot project includes approximately 150 applications for applicants to these communities. OINP also does marketing and outreach to educate local employers and provide support for business services. They also partner with stakeholders to take advantage of local business succession.
The objective of the pilot project is to connect highly skilled immigrants with jobs in small rural Ontario communities. These specific locations were chosen because of their specific labor challenges and their ability to help newcomers settle, among other factors.

The category of job offers for employers has three components:
To apply for the pilot, candidates must complete an admission form and send an email to OINP.
