Ontario has issued invitations under the French Speaking Skilled Workers Stream and Entrepreneur stream

On 24th August, 2018, the province of Ontario has issued invitations through the French Speaking Skilled Workers Stream and also the entrepreneur stream. There were a total of 15 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) issued in the French Speaking Skilled Workers Stream and 31 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) issued in Entrepreneur stream. With this draw of Ontario, the total number of applications issued under the French Speaking Skilled Workers Stream in 2018 has come down to 977.

There is a provision to have a 5 percent increase in the French speaking candidate’s population by the end of the year 2018. Hence, there have been regular invitations being sent through this stream this year. Remember, that there are two official languages of Canada – English and French and the government of Canada places huge importance of the knowledge and implementation of both the languages in the country.

Invitations through French Speaking Skilled Workers Stream

To be qualified in the French Speaking Skilled Workers Stream, there are two important things that the candidate should keep in mind – Firstly, the qualification in the sub category of Express Entry program, Federal Skilled Workers Program(FSWP) or Canadian Experience class (CEC) is important and secondly, the minimum language proficiency score of at least 6 in English and minimum of 7 in French is very important. Moreover, it is a good aspect that there is no minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score requirement in the French Speaking Skilled Workers Stream.

Invitations through Entrepreneur Stream

Apart from the French Speaking Skilled Workers Stream, the Province of Ontario will be issuing invites to 21 applications under the Entrepreneur Stream. The minimum score requirement under this draw is 110 and it is the lowest score for this draw since 29 August, 2016. This stream Invites business people who would like to start a new venture in Ontario or would contribute by buying an existing business. The Entrepreneurs can apply for permanent residence after their business is successfully established in Ontario.

The best part of the provincial nomination is that the candidate is allotted 600 bonus points towards the Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score after selection.
