Nationwide Immigration » Latest-news » Ontario invites Express Entry candidates with score as low as 350 CRS points

9th express entry draw 2018

CRS score cut off of 350 points for Ontario Human Capital Priorities stream

Ontario Human Capital Priorities stream On 9th August, 2018, the low cut off of 350 Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) points was asked for Ontario’s Human Core Capital Priorities stream and a total of 947 applications were issued to the Express Entry candidates.

Under this, Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) all those candidates who had received the Notifications of Interest (NOIs) should have submitted their Express Entry profile between 1st January 2018 and August 9th, 2018. The candidates who were targeted in this draw should have a job offer in Ontario. Also, the candidates who have issued the Notifications of Interest (NOIs) should apply in 45 days for a nomination certificate from Ontario.

The Human Core Capital Priorities stream of Ontario’s Express Entry sub stream

Ontario’s Human Core Capital Priorities stream selects those candidates from the Express Entry Pool who met the eligibility criteria specific to the stream. Generally, a Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of 400 points is asked from the applicant to qualify under this stream but this draw has issued the invites and declared the minimum score requirement on the lower side probably after keeping the job requirement in the province and the French language requirement in priority. As, there were a total of 14 applications which were issued through the French Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream.

Unlike the Human Core Capital Priorities stream which asks for a minimum score, the French Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream doesn’t have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score requirement.

Also, on a general pattern, a job offer is not the usual requirement for the Human Core Capital Priorities stream. There were a total of eight draws which were held this year through this stream and out of the six didn’t ask for any job requirement.

However, Ontario has not specifically said anything about the job offer in a particular field or occupation. But, in the past Ontario has issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to a lot of candidates from the field of Information Technology.

WHICH IS THE BEST WAY TO APPLY FOR THE PR STATUS OF CANADA

Ontario Nominations in the year 2018

The year 2018 has been a good year for immigration through Ontario province as this year there have been a total number if 3534 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) been issued through Human Core Capital Priorities Stream and 931 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) issued through French Speaking Skilled Workers (FSSW) Stream and 1006 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) issued through Skilled Trades Stream.

Remember candidates who receive the nomination from a particular province are eligible for 600 bonus pints thus guaranteeing them an ITA (Invitation to Apply) in the next Express Entry Pool.
