9th express entry draw 2018

Saskatchewan Expression of Interest(EOI) asked for a low point score of 65

Federal Skilled Traders Class CRS cut of 284 points

Good news for the Saskatchewan immigration aspirants, the province invited Occupation in-demand and Express Entry candidates at the lowest required points every of 65 for the Express Entry candidates and score of 66 for the occupation in-demand candidates.

A total number of 438 applications were sent invites for the provincial nomination of Saskatchewan on 27th September, 2018. Out of the total 438 applications, Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) announced a total of 225 invitations under the Express Entry Program subcategory and 213 invitations issued under the Occupation in-demand subcategory.

This was the second Expression of Interest (EOI) draw in the week for Saskatchewan as the last draw happened on 21st September, 2018 and issued an invite for 140 candidates under the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.

After receiving the ITA (Invitation to Apply) the candidates are now allowed to submit a provincial nomination application to the Government of Saskatchewan. All those candidates who are selected are also eligible for the bonus 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in the federal express entry program selection, which gives them an edge over the other candidates in the express entry program. But, for the occupation in demand candidates they can now directly apply to the government of Canada for a Permanent residency status.

The eligibility criteria for both these programs were quite similar and did not require the candidate to have a job offer from a Canadian employer for selection under the Expression of Interest(EOI).
