9th express entry draw 2018

Same CRS cut off of 440 as last time for the Express Entry Draws announced

Latest Express Entry Draw asked for a low CRS cut off of 440 points

On 22nd August 2018, the recent Express Entry Draws were announced in which the Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) cut off was 440 points. That means that all the candidates who secured 440 points or above in the Express Entry pool were considered fit to apply for the permanent residency(PR) status of Canada and issued the ITAs (Invitation to Apply). There were a total number of 3,750 applications which were issued invites in this Express Entry Draw.

Key points of the latest Express Entry Draw are:

  • The Express Entry Draw was opened on 22nd August, 2018 to 23rd August, 2018
  • Usual trend of Express Entry Draws released after 15 days was followed
  • Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score asked is 440 points or above
  • IRCC invited 3,750 Candidates in this draw

CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY FOR PR STATUS OF CANADA

The latest Express Entry Draws – 22nd August, 2018

This has happened for the third time that a Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) cut off of 440 point was asked from the candidates, it is the lowest Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) point score asked till date from the applicants. The Express Entry Draw of 22nd August is exactly the same as the Express Entry Draw on 8th August, 2018 as the Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score and the number of applications issued invites is exactly the same. It has happened more than six times that the total number of applications issued by the IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada) are 3750, this seems to be the standard number of the year 2018 as after June 13, 2018 same number of applications have been invited.

Just like the other times, this time as well the tie-break rule will be applied in which all the candidates who have filed their application before a specified date and time will be considered for the permanent residency(PR) status of Canada and issued the ITAs (Invitation to Apply). Further, those who have been in the pool for a longer period of time will be given preference over the others.

APPLY FOR THE PR STATUS OF CANADA THROUGH EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAM

The Express Entry Draws so far – the year 2018

There have been total 17 Express Entry Draws this year and a total number of 54, 700 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) have been issued so far. With this number, the IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada) is already ahead of the last year’s number of applications issued which were 60, 742 by August and 86, 023 in total by the end of the year 2017. Given that, there is a target for immigration through permanent residency (PR) status under the Canada Immigration Plan 2018 – 2020, the total number of applications issued is bound to witness an increase this year.
