The Express Entry Draws were declared by the Government of Canada on 11th July, 2018 for the Express Entry candidates and a score of 442 Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) points was announced as the minimum point requirement for the Permanent Residency(PR) status of Canada. That means all the candidates with 442 points or above are sent the ITA (Invitation to Apply) for the Permanent Residency(PR) status. There were a total number of 3,750 applications, which were issued the ITA (Invitation to Apply).
The latest Express Entry Draws didn’t bring much changes to the table with the Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) points cut off of 442 points maintained by the IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada). In the Express Entry Draws announced on 25th June, 2018 the minimum score was 442 points only. Further for the third time in the row, The IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada) has maintained the total number of ITAs (Invitation to Apply) issued, which is 3,750. Prior to this, on 13th June, 2018 and 25th June, 2018 the same number of ITAs (Invitation to Apply) were issued.
This time as well the tie-break rule will be applied for the scrutiny of the candidates in which the candidates who have been in the pool for the longer period of time will be given preference over the others. For the tiebreak rule, the candidates with 442 points or above should submit their applications before the designated time and date in order to receive the ITA (Invitation to Apply).
The Express Entry Draws announced took more than two week’s time to be announced this time and this could be one of the reasons that there was not a significant increase in the Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) cut off. Further, the high amount of applications i.e. 3750 issued the ITA (Invitation to Apply) corresponds to the fact that there is a trend that has been established by the IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada) and there might be an increase in the number of applications issued in the next Express Entry draws as well, as the draws began with 2,750 applications issued then it increased to 3,000 applications then 3,500 and now a standard of 3,750 issued each time. But this only a speculation and nobody can predict the real score or applications to be issued by the Government of Canada in any form.
