New Zealand has many good colleges and University for enthusiastic and not only it is a good country to live in but it is also a good country to study at for any professional. Further, if you are applying for a study program that is longer than three months time then you need to apply for a student visa in New Zealand. And this process needs to be taken care of before you arrive at New Zealand which would include submitting complete application and filling the complete student visa application form INZ – 1012 and submitting it to your nearest New Zealand embassy.

However, there are also some universities which provide the candidate with the option to lodge their application for a student after they arrive in New Zealand and this condition can work only for those candidates who already have a valid visa of New Zealand but in some other category. Thus, if you are applying from your homeland for a student visa (which would most likely be the case) then you need to apply for the student visa before you leave your homeland. Remember, you will not be able to enter New Zealand without a proper and valid visa from the country.

What are the steps for applying for a Student visa in New Zealand?

The first step in any case would be hire a good immigration consultant who can proper guide you regarding all the necessary steps that you need to take related to your immigration o New Zealand then the next steps in the processing could be submit your application, undertake an IELTS examination to establish your language proficiency, get all your documents and degree ready and be ready to pay your application fee.

Apart from the application and visa fee the candidate should also have sufficient fee to pay as tuition to the university after finishing all the visa formalities. However, this doesn’t apply to the exchange students as they do not have to pay tuition fee. Also, a student visa can take around 10 – 15 days to process but just to be on a safe side it is advisable that you start applying five weeks before you get ready to migrate to New Zealand.
