Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) released the latest Express Entry draw for those who want to apply for Canada PR. This is the latest Category-based Express Entry draw, specifically for healthcare and social service occupations.
However, this category-based latest Express Entry draw is the fifth draw of the year. These invitations to apply to the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Program may be issued through this round of invitations.

On October 15, 2025, IRCC released the latest Express Entry draw, issuing 2500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a minimum CRS score of 472, exclusively for healthcare and social service occupations.
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
The table below provides details about the number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for the healthcare and social service occupation. These invitations are for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Program.

From May 2025 to now, IRCC has released a total of 10,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) only for the healthcare and social services occupation (version 2). In the latest Express Entry draw, the CRS score is 472, which is an increase of 2 points from the previous draw that was released on August 19, 2025.
Throughout the year, most Express Entry draws have focused on PNP candidates, with additional invitations going to applicants under the CEC stream, French-proficient candidates, and individuals in priority occupations.

This year, the IRCC has continued to prioritize the critical sectors through its Express Entry draw. This draw primarily addresses the labour market shortage for essential services by inviting skilled professionals to apply for Canada PR.
While PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) draws have been prominent this year, targeted draws for healthcare and social service workers ensure that Canada meets regional and national workforce needs. By issuing ITAs specifically to these candidates, IRCC supports both the growth of Canada’s healthcare system and the overall social infrastructure.
