Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new draw. This is the 13th draw of the year, specifically for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). This continues the trend of consistent CEC-specific rounds, as IRCC prioritizes domestic candidates who are already contributing to the Canadian labour market.

From January 2025 to November 2025, Canadian Experience Class draw issued 24,850 invitations (ITAs) with a minimum CRS score of 518-547.

What are the Eligibility Criteria of CEC Applicants?

To qualify for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria listed below. These criteria will ensure that the candidate has the skills, experience, and qualifications to contribute to the Canadian labour market.

Key Eligibility Requirements for CEC:

  • Work Experience:
    • Must have at least 12 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in Canada within the last 36 months.
    • Work must fall under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 categories.
  • Legal Work Status: Experience must be gained while working in Canada under a legal temporary resident status with authorization to work.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • TEER 0/1 jobs: CLB 7 in IELTS/PTE/Core
    • TEER 2/3 jobs: CLB 5
  • No Education Requirement: Education is not mandatory, but having Canadian or foreign credentials can require a minimum CRS score.
  • Intent to Live Outside Quebec: Applicants must plan to settle in any Canadian province or territory other than Quebec.
