The province of Newfoundland and Labrador isn't running behind and is still continuing its journey of immigration by issuing another 150 Invitations to Apply (ITA) under its new draw in 2025.
Those invitations were issued under the two major immigration programs of the province:

Newfoundland and Labrador Latest Draw Overview
The Newfoundland and Labrador latest draw, held on July 29, 2025, saw a total of 150 ITAs issued to under NLPNP and AIP streams.
- Draw Date: July 29, 2025
- Total ITAs issued: 150
- NLPNP invitations: 100
- AIP invites: 50
It targets applicants who have job offers in skilled occupations.
And also, the applicants were chosen from the province's Expression of Interest (EOI) system.
What Was the Aim of the Draw?
The last draw was aimed at:
1. Address critical labour shortage in priority sectors
2. Attract highly talented overseas workers worldwide, as well as international graduates
3. Provide support to designated Newfoundland and Labrador employers who require talent right now
Who Was Invited to This?
- Individuals who have received a new job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer.
- People who made their EOI profiles through Immigration Accelerator
- Someone has an employer invite code (applies only to outside applicants)
- Most people already in Canada are exempt from the required codes.
Target Occupations
This province would have priority for a few sectors, as:
- Healthcare: nurses, physicians, medical lab techs
- Information Technology: software developers, network analysts, data engineers
- Aquaculture & Fisheries: site technicians, production managers
- Hospitality: chefs, kitchen staff, front-line service roles
About NLPNP
- Well-suited to the federal Express Entry program, provincial immigration
- Has streams offering 600 points to be added in the CRS score upon being nominated
- This is aimed at skilled workers with job offers and experience in the province.
About AIP
- A program that flows between federal and provincial jurisdictions on the matter of immigration to Atlantic Canada
- Does not require Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)
- A job offer from a designated AIP employer is needed in order to be eligible for any employment option
- These communities are tied to long-term settlement intentions.
EOI and Selection Process
- As an Applicant you need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Immigration Accelerator Portal.
- Employer demand, occupation, and eligibility are all considered when making selections.
- Selected applicants receive an ITA and must apply for nomination within 60 days.
- EOIs have a validity in the system of up to 12 months.
