For French speakers, three Canadian areas have provided details about an updated pathway to migrate to Canada on permanent residency.
The following areas have released information regarding their Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP) streams:
Employer-focused FCIP was first introduced in 2025.
French-speaking foreigners having a job offer in an outside community of Quebec can apply for Canada PR with the pilot program, given they satisfy other requirements.
The FCIP selects six communities to participate.

The importance of designated employers, priority sectors, and professions
Employers can become FCIP-designated employers if they are in one industry and hiring in a profession with high demand.
Foreign Nationals are required to hold an offer letter from a valid employer to get recommended by the community for the FCIP.
When candidates migrate to Canada, after receiving a community recommendation, they can apply directly for permanent residency to the federal government. They are qualified for a 2-year work visa, so they can continue working while processing their Canada PR applications.
The FCIP will be implemented in a total of six communities.
