The Government of Yukon has officially released an update to its Nominee Program, outlining how applications will be accepted and prioritized in the upcoming intake cycle.
For 2026, the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) has been allocated 282 nomination spaces and will follow a revised, employer-led selection approach. The update highlights Yukon’s continued focus on addressing local labour shortages while supporting long-term settlement in the territory.
Following nomination announcements from British Columbia and Saskatchewan, Yukon has now become the third Canadian jurisdiction to confirm its immigration nomination plans for the year.

The Yukon 2026 update shifts the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) toward quality over quantity, prioritizing workers who are most likely to settle permanently and contribute to Yukon’s economy. For applicants, success will depend on employer coordination, local experience, and strategic timing.
