British Columbia regularly selects candidates for a provincial nomination by issuing invitations to them through British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) draws.Â
Candidates are ranked and evaluated on the points achieved under the BC PNP points calculator. Points are based on Age, Education, Work Experience, Language Proficiency, Adaptability, and Spousal Sponsorship.
Candidates with the highest scores are issued a provincial nomination, which they can then use to apply for PR visas to the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
British Columbia province provides its residents with a high standard of living and better career growth opportunities. In 2023, BC PNP invited over 10,000 candidates across Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur Immigration draws. British Columbia PNP conducted 4-5 draws almost every month in 2023. The same trend is expected to be carried on for 2024 as well.
The BC PNP has two main components:
Skilled Immigration
Entrepreneur Immigration
If you are nominated under any of the two components, you and your family can apply for Canada PR visa to the IRCC. At current times, most applications under the BC PNP are processed within 12-15 months.
BC PNP draws are usually held on a bi-weekly basis, with some exceptions. The government of British Columbia does not publish this information beforehand. Here are the details of the BC PNP latest draw.
