Why Choose Canada?

There are many reasons which have together made Canada one of the most sought-after international immigration destinations in the world. These include:

  • Canada is a very liberal country where immigrants are treated equally and there are no incidences of violence against them of any kind.
  • Canada already has a very large international immigrant community. Among them, Indians make up for a significant portion and they are known to be very supportive of new immigrants who move to Canada.
  • You can move to Canada with a PR or Permanent Resident Visa. This means that you get to enjoy almost all the benefits enjoyed by naturalized citizens of Canada.
  • Canada offers free healthcare and free education to all its PRs and citizens.
  • Canada has a booming economy where opportunities are plenty for those with enough experience and skill.
  • Though it is recommended that you move to Canada with a job offer, you can also choose to move to Canada without a job offer should your profession be in high demand.
  • Canada offers multiple pathways for immigration ranging from the federal Express Entry program to the provincial nomination programs  of individual provinces.

So, as you can probably see, Canada is a great country to consider moving to particularly if you belong to the nursing profession. Provided you have the right work experience and make the right document submissions, you can move to Canada in just under a year!

Canada PR Visa from India for Nurses in 2021

Canada is one of those nations where the growth never seems to slow down. It is also a country where a lot of the working population is growing older and thus, there is an acute need for knowledgeable nursing professionals who can take up important positions in the regional and national healthcare system. Broadly speaking, there are two immigration systems that nurses who want to move to Canada in 2021 can choose to opt for. These are:

Express Entry Program for Nurses in 2021

The Express Entry program offers multiple pathways for immigration to Canada for as PR in 2021. Out of these, the most relevant for nurses are:

Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

The federal skilled worker program is meant for those nurses who have at least 1 year of relevant working experience and have secured a job with a healthcare institution in Canada. You will have to go through a simple procedure to apply. Go to the website of the IRCC and fill up the express entry form. Here, you will need to provide particular details about yourself like age, educational qualification, work experience etc. Once you have filled up the required particulars, you will be given a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This score is going to be the basis of your selection for immigration to Canada in 2019. So, when the Express Entry draws take place (they happen once every 15 days), if your CRS score is above the cut off, you can apply for Canada immigration in 2021.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

This immigration pathway as PR is meant for those who have previous working experience in Canada. So, this is not the most popular immigration pathway although you can still apply though it. Consult our Canada immigration experts to know how to apply through this pathway if you have already worked in Canada before.

In addition to these two streams at the national level, there is one more immigration pathway called the Occupation in-Demand steam. This steam is meant for those nursing professionals who have enough working experience to secure a job once they move over to Canada.

To apply through the OID stream, you should check out the National Occupations Classification table. It has a list of all the occupations that are in high demand in Canada at the moment. Since we already know that nurses are highly demanded in Canada, you need to check for immigration at the national level.

However, if you want to move to a particular province in Canada like Nova Scotia or British Columbia, then you can check out the demand for nursing professionals in that particular state.

Now, lets have a look at the provincial immigration pathway offered by each province of Canada and what are your chances of moving there with or without a job.
