If you wish to immigrate to Canada, you have to secure at least 67 points to qualify for submitting the application. IRCC makes use of a system of points to assess the application of candidates. A maximum of 100 points is allocated under this immigration assessment system. Your ability to immigrate to Canada will be greatly influenced by your score under this point system. If you score less than the prescribed 67 points, your application for immigration to Canada will be disapproved.

Canada aims to welcome millions of immigrants across the globe in the next 3 years. The immigration policies are regularly updated by the Federal Government. Its aim is to facilitate the smooth immigration of skilled and eligible immigrants to the nation.

The system of 100 points allows the IRCC to select applicants who can contribute to the economy of Canada. They also need to fulfill precise requirements in terms of expertise and skilled labor.

Immigration candidates who apply through the Express Entry program are chiefly classified under three streams:

The program allows candidates to create a profile online under the system. They have to provide diverse information about themselves and are assessed based on it.

The 67 points criterion is implemented for easing the process of obtaining Canada Permanent Residence for Federal Skilled Workers. The National Occupational Classification (NOC) and Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) are two major factors under this system.

We have here outlined how you can score the required 67 points to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria. The various factors that influence your score and ways to improve them have also been discussed.

Your Canada PR Visa application will be assessed based on the following factors:

  • Age
  • Language Proficiency
  • Education
  • Adaptability
  • Work Experience
  • Arranged employment, not compulsory

 Note:

  • Your occupation needs to be mentioned in the National Occupational Classification (NOC)
  • You are not offered the Canada PR Visa if you score 67 points, it only makes you qualified to file the application under the Express Entry Program

You have to select a suitable immigration program depending on your profile credentials after you qualify. Because getting accepted into the pool of candidates in the Express Entry system does not confirm the ITA – Invitation to Apply for PR. You have to score a good CRS score for receiving the ITA.
