It is an online immigration program with a point system that evaluates potential candidates based on factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency (either English or French), etc. As a result, it assigns them a point total.

Every two weeks, the IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) holds a draw to invite the top-scoring applicants to submit an application for permanent residence in Canada. The CRS score required from the IRCC is 454 Points or above to earn a Canada PR invitation, according to the most recent Express Entry draw.

How to apply for Express Entry from India?

The candidate must first determine whether or not he or she is eligible for the Express Entry program before submitting an Express Entry profile. To submit their profile, each applicant must score at least 67 points out of a potential 100. To evaluate eligibility for the Federal Skilled Workers Program, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) uses the 67 Points System in Canada. Applicants must obtain a minimum score of 67 points on the Express Entry points calculator in order to continue. Under this scheme, a candidate can earn up to 100 points. If the candidate does not receive at least 67 points, the application will be rejected. These points are assigned based on the following parameters.

  • Age: Applicants between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible for high scores. As the applicant gets older, their point score decreases. A maximum of 12 points can be granted for age.
  • Work Experience: The applicant receives excellent marks for having worked full-time for 30 hours per week for the previous 12 months. A candidate is qualified for the maximum point score if they have worked for six years or longer. A maximum of 15 points is awarded for work experience.
  • Language: This category has a maximum of 28 points available. The official languages of Canada are English and French. Those who do well on the language test have a better chance of doing well on the overall point calculation. Bilingual applicants have a higher likelihood of being accepted. CELPIP and IELTS are two English language tests. TCF and TEF are two French language tests.
  • Education: Officials analyze each diploma/degree certificate to establish the candidate's educational qualifications. Regulatory groups such as the World Education Services assist in the process (WES). In this category, candidates can earn up to 25 points.
  • Arranged Employment: Before relocating, a candidate must first obtain a job offer from a Canadian company. The employment offer letter must be for a full-time position with at least one year of experience to be eligible for the points. A job offer letter can get you a maximum of ten points.
  • Adaptability: A total of 10 points can be earned in this category. It may assist the candidate to receive bonus points if they already have a relative in Canada. An extra ten points could be awarded to the applicant. It's vital to understand that this is an optional category.
