Under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), a new draw was conducted by British Columbia which issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to 166 candidates.
ITAs issued in the August 3rd draw were divided into two categories: General and Targeted. Here are the details of this latest BC PNP draw:

British Columbia PNP: General Information
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) periodically issues invitations to potential candidates that can support and sustain the province’s economy. Candidates selected from the registration pool were required to submit an application to the BC PNP – based on which they were issued ITAs.

Information provided by candidates in the registration is used to rank, select, and invite candidates who are more likely to meet the labor market shortages in British Columbia. ITAs issued may be targeted to support the province’s government priorities, including specific business sectors, encouraging regional immigration, and facilitating strategic pilot projects.
The number and frequency of ITAs issued in a draw for all categories under the BC PNP are managed to maintain a standard processing time for all candidates – and further support British Columbia’s priorities. BC PNP is a point-based immigration system, where it uses the BC PNP points calculator to rank candidates in the registration pool. Points are based on factors such as Age, Education, Work Experience, Language Proficiency, and Connections to the province.
