OINP’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream is a key immigration pathway for individuals who are proficient in both French and English and wish to settle in the Canadian province of Ontario. This stream is designed to attract skilled Francophone workers and streamline their immigration process.

One of the primary requirements for eligibility is the ability to demonstrate language proficiency in both French and English. Applicants must have a minimum level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in French and CLB 6 in English. In addition to language proficiency, candidates must have relevant work experience in one of the eligible occupations listed under the National Occupational Classification (NOC). These occupations are typically in high demand in Ontario and cover a range of industries, including healthcare, finance, and information technology.

Applicants also need to secure a valid job offer in Ontario, either in the Greater Toronto Area or outside of it, in order to be considered for nomination by the OINP. This job offer should be in an eligible NOC occupation and meet specific criteria.

Once nominated by the OINP, candidates can then apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry system, which fast-tracks the immigration process.
