Quebec’s Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration (MIFI) has conducted back-to-back invitation rounds in May.

The Quebec latest draws saw 2,791 invitations being issued to candidates under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP). The back-to-back draws serve as a testament to the province’s commitment to inviting skilled workers and businessmen - with the skills, qualifications, and potential needed to succeed in Quebec’s dynamic economy.

Quebec Latest Draws - Result

Draw 1: May 23, 2024

• No. of candidates invited: 1,350
• Date and time of extraction from the Arrima bank: May 6, 2024 at 6:25 a.m.

These invitations were addressed to the persons meeting the following criteria:

• They had a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français or its equivalent.
• They had a score equal to or greater than 593 points.
• They had a valid job offer outside the territory of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.

Draw 2: May 30, 2024

• No. of candidates invited: 1,441
• Date and time of extraction from the Arrima bank: May 27, 2024 at 6:25 a.m.

These invitations were addressed to the persons meeting the following criteria:

• They had a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français or its equivalent.
• They had a score equal to or greater than 591 points.
• They had a valid job offer outside the territory of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.

Quebec’s Regular Skilled Worker Program

Quebec's Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) is designed to attract skilled workers who want to live and work in Quebec. The program is for individuals who have the skills, education, and work experience that can contribute to Quebec's economy.

Applicants are assessed based on a points system, considering factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency in French and English, and adaptability. To apply, candidates must first submit an expression of interest through the Arrima portal. If they meet the criteria, they may be invited to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). With a CSQ, candidates can then apply for permanent residence with the Canadian federal government.
