Skills Immigration Registration System

The majority of the streams under BC PNP are managed under an online SIRS - Skills Immigration Registration System. It uses a system of EOI – Expression of Interest based on points. This helps BC PNP in managing the applications of candidates for ensuring strong economic results for the province.

Candidates have to register themselves and the information they provide is used for ranking, selecting, and inviting candidates to apply for nomination. They are offered a score under the BC PNP Points Calculator out of 200 points.

There are various immigration streams under BC PNP SIRS that are targeted at workers having qualifications, experience, and skills needed by employers in BC. These categories are designed for people having precise competencies and skills and commitment to living, working and economically establishing themselves in BC.

The Government of BC holds frequent draws offering invitations to candidates with specified cut-off scores to apply for a nomination from the province.

Skills Immigration Registration Process

You have to register under SIRS online and file an application as well. This requires you to create a profile online under BCPNP Online and you have to complete all sections of the registration.

You are liable for updating your contact details in your profile and must ensure that all the needed information is up-to-date and current. Details of your profile like contact information have to be updated as required. But the information you provide in your registration as well as the score is locked after registration.

BC PNP will not modify your registration information and the stream under which you registered. For modifying your registration details, you must withdraw your registration and file a fresh registration with updated details. It does not apply to altering details you have provided in your profile in BCPNP Online. This can be done through your current profile.

You can log in to your BC PNP Online profile and check the dashboard for checking the latest update about your registration or application status.

Upon completion of your registration, you will be offered a score and entered into a pool of candidates for the stream under which you have enrolled. You are required to complete all sections of the registration for being entered into the pool of candidates for your stream.

After the successful submission of your registration, you will get an email for confirmation of registration with your registration number under BC PNP. The validity of your registration is for 1 year from the submission date.
