When applying for the Canada Express Entry program, securing a job adds additional points to your overall score required to be invited to apply for Canada PR from India. If you are an Indian with skills in a single trade such as manufacturing, construction, repairs, and more, you can apply for Canada PR through Express Entry.

How to Apply for Canada PR through Express Entry?

To apply for Canada PR under Express Entry, you have three economic immigration programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Check your eligibility for PR using a 67-point calculator, which assesses candidates’ profiles based on factors like age, work experience, language proficiency, education, and other relevant factors. You need 67 out of 100 points to be eligible to apply for Canada PR from India.

Next, create an Express Entry profile under one of the Express Entry programs and enter the pool – where your profile will be ranked using a CRS score calculator and assigned a score out of 1,200. The higher the score is, the higher your chances are of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR in one of the Express Entry category-based draws.

If you’re selected, you will have up to 60 days to submit a complete application for PR. If it gets approved, you will be granted PR status and will receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR).
