On May 18, 2023, Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) conducted its eighth invitation round of the year. The May 18 draw inlines with the proposed PEI PNP draw schedule for the year 2023.
Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to a total of 159 candidates with applications submitted to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur and Labour & Express Entry streams. This latest Prince Edward Island PNP draw also recorded a CRS score drop of 7 points for Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates.

Over the last 12 months, the Prince Edward Island PNP has issued a total of 101 invitations to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates and 2,286 invitations to Labor & Express Entry candidates.
The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) is a pathway for skilled foreign workers and entrepreneurs to immigrate to Prince Edward Island, a province of Canada. The PEI PNP has several immigration streams, and each stream has its own requirements and criteria.
PEI PNP invites candidates through an Expression of Interest (EOI) system. This means that interested candidates must first create an EOI profile with the PEI PNP. The EOI profile includes personal information, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other relevant details.
Once a candidate has submitted their EOI profile, they will be assigned a score based on the information provided. The highest-scoring candidates will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination.
The PEI PNP regularly conducts draws to invite the highest-scoring candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The draws typically take place twice a month – with some exceptions.
It's important to note that meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination. The PEI PNP only invites candidates who meet the program's labor market and economic development priorities.
