Prince Edward Island PNP Draw Invites Express Entry Candidates

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) has conducted a new draw to invite candidates to submit a full application for permanent residency to the PEI PNP. This was the third EOI draw conducted under PEI PNP in November.

The PEI PNP latest draw held on November 30, 2023, saw invitations being issued to 69 candidates under the Labour & Express Entry stream. Invitations were issued to candidates working in the Healthcare, Manufacturing, Food Processing, and Construction sectors. 

No Business Work Permit invitations were issued in this draw. 

Over the last 12 months, the Prince Edward Island PNP has issued 2,596 invitations to Labour & Express Entry candidates and 68 invitations to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates.

• Labour & Express Entry invitations over the last 12 months: 97%
• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations over the last 12 months: 3%

Invitation Criteria

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program EOI system gathers important information about candidates in the pool to rank and select those who are most likely to meet PEI’s economic and labour market needs. Selection is based on one or more of the following criteria:

• Language: English or French
• Education: level and field of education and where completed
• Skill and work experience level
• Strategic priorities: attributes that would address immediate labour market needs in PEI
• Other factors relevant to employment prospects: including, but not limited to having a job offer in PEI and/or previous Canadian work experience

Candidates wanting to apply for a provincial nomination under the PEI PNP are required to create a profile in the province’s EOI system. Eligible candidates are placed in the pool of qualifying candidates and assigned a CRS score based on their profile. The highest-ranking candidates are invited to submit an application during periodic draws.

PEI PNP Draw Schedule

The PEI PNP issues ITAs to eligible candidates on a bi-weekly basis - with some exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the next PEI PNP draw - are determined by the needs of the PEI PNP application inventory and the announced schedule.
