The latest ACT Canberra Matrix invitation round held on October 12, 2023, issued 168 invitations to Subclass 491 visa candidates under the Canberra Residents and Overseas Applicants streams.
Depending on the remaining monthly allocation, occupation cap & demand, and the date & time of the Matrix submission - the minimum cut-off for selection is determined. The higher the rank of the Matrix score invited - the greater the demand for occupation.
No Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa nominations were issued in this invitation round.
The next invitation round will be held before 20 November 2023.
The ACT received an interim allocation for the 2022-2023 program year.
As of the October 12th draw,
Total approvals: 666 approvals | 190 Nominations: 376 approvals | 491 Nominations: 290 approvals
Total refusals: 119 applications | 190 Nominations: 51 refusals (12%) | 491 Nominations: 68 refusals (19%)
Total allocation remaining: 534 nomination places (67 per month) | 190 Nominations: 224 | 491 Nominations: 310
Invitations are not guaranteed. ACT responds to requests for information on ranking or the likelihood of receiving an invitation to apply. Matrix will not be prioritized or issued invitations based on personal circumstances. This includes but is not limited to, visa expiry dates or a change in circumstances including critical birthdays.
Also, surpassing the minimum cut-off ranking score is an indication only, and does not guarantee an invitation to apply for Australia PR. Candidates who had previously received an ACT nomination or did not have an active application in the system - did not receive an invitation to the draw.
Don't wait. The time will never be just right.
