The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is an immigration pathway designed for international graduates, skilled workers, and entrepreneurs - to obtain permanent residency in British Columbia.
There are two main streams in the BC PNP:
The Skills Immigration stream targets workers in high-demand occupations, such as Healthcare and Technology. Whereas, the Entrepreneur Immigration stream is for individuals who want to invest in or start a business in BC.
To apply, candidates must first create an online profile and register with the BC PNP. They are then scored based on factors like work experience, education, and language proficiency. Those with the highest scores in the BC PNP points calculator are invited to apply for nomination.
Once nominated, candidates can apply for permanent residency.
The BC PNP offers a clear and structured route to living and working in one of Canada's most vibrant provinces, making it an attractive option for many aspiring immigrants. Currently, 80% of the applications under the BC PNP are processed within 8-10 months.
