British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has conducted a new Skills Immigration draw.

The BC PNP latest draw held on August 15, 2023, saw ITAs being issued a total of 158 Skilled Workers and International Graduates. Invited candidates required a minimum CRS score of 60 to be eligible for this invitation round.

This was the third Skills Immigration draw conducted by British Columbia in August. The previous invitation round was held on August 09, which issued ITAs to 195 Skilled Workers and International Graduates with a minimum score of 60.

BC PNP Latest Draw: August 15, 2023

Category 1: Tech

  • Total number of invitations: 107
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 88

Category 2: Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202)

  • Total number of invitations: 27
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 60

Category 3: Healthcare Healthcare

  • Total number of invitations: 19
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 60

Category 4: Other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104)

  • Total number of invitations: 5
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 60

British Columbia issues ITAs to eligible candidates on a weekly basis, with some exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the BC PNP latest draw - are all determined by the needs of the BC PNP application inventory at the time of the invitation round.

Targeted invitations to apply to the Skills Immigration streams may be based on one or more of the following factors:

  • Education - level, and field of education and where it was completed
  • Eligible professional designations in B.C.
  • Language skills
  • Occupation
  • Duration and skill level of work experience
  • Wage and/or skill level of job offer
  • Intent to live, work and settle in a specific region
  • Strategic priorities - factors that address specific labor market needs in B.C. or support government pilot projects and initiatives

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) plays a pivotal role in helping support & sustain the province’s economy. The BC PNP is one of the most sought-after Canada Immigration pathways for aspiring immigrants from across the world.

There are two streams that are currently being managed by the BC PNP:

  • British Columbia Skills Immigration
  • British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration

Candidates are ranked & evaluated based on the points achieved under the BC PNP points calculator.
