British Columbia has conducted back-to-back draws on 27 February 2024. The British Columbia PNP latest draw issued 203 invitations to candidates under the Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur Immigration category.

This was the eighth Skills Immigration draw, and only the second Entrepreneur Immigration draw conducted by British Columbia in 2024. So far, a total of 1,846 candidates have been invited by British Columbia under both these categories.

Skills Immigration Invitations

Targeted invitations to apply to the Skills Immigration stream may be based on one or more of the following factors:

• Education - level and field of education and where it was completed
• Eligible professional designations in B.C.
• Language skills
• Occupation
• Duration and skill level of work experience
• Wage and/or skill level of job offer
• Intent to live, work and settle in a specific region
• Strategic priorities – factors that address specific labour market needs in B.C. or support government pilot projects and initiatives

Entrepreneur Immigration Invitations

Targeted invitations to apply to the Entrepreneur Immigration Base stream may be based on one or more of the following factors:

• Registration score
• Specific region in which a candidate proposes to establish a business
• Population size of the community in which the candidate proposes to establish a business
• Whether the proposed business is a start-up or a purchase of an existing business
• Whether the business proposal is aligned with identified priority business sectors

If you’ve been invited

If you’ve been selected in this latest BC PNP draw, you will have 30 days to submit a complete application via the British Columbia PNP’s online portal - along with the supporting documents and processing fee. You must apply before your nomination expires. If BC PNP approves your application, you will be issued a nomination package - which you can use to apply for Canada PR visa.

Next British Columbia PNP draw

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) conducts regular draws under the Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur Immigration categories to invite skilled workers and entrepreneurs to apply for permanent residency in the province. These draws are a way for British Columbia to select candidates who have the skills and experience needed in its labour market.

Once invited, candidates have a limited time to submit a complete application for provincial nomination. Successful applicants receive a nomination certificate, which they can use to apply for permanent residency to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The next British Columbia PNP draw is projected to be conducted on 05 March 2024.

Skills Immigration draws are conducted every two weeks, usually on a Tuesday. The number of invitations, minimum score, and draw-type is determined by the BC PNP. In 2023. Invitations to apply under the Entrepreneur Immigration category are issued approximately every month for qualified entrepreneurs who have been referred by a participating community.
