Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new draw on May. This was the third invitation round conducted by the department in May 2025. Invitations to apply to the Provincial Nominee Program may be issued through this round of invitations. Last month, IRCC conducted two Express Entry PNP draws that invited 12,46 candidates to apply for permanent residence (PR).
If you have been invited to this Express Entry latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for PR to the IRCC. Your Invitation to Apply (ITA) will no longer be valid if this timeframe passes.
The Express Entry latest draw was held on May 12, 2025. ITAs were issued to 511 candidates across a PNP-specific draw. Invited candidates required a minimum CRS score of 706 to be eligible for an invitation.
Draw No: 346
Type of Draw: Provincial Nominee Program
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles. If you were not invited in the latest Express Entry draw, your profile will remain active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months from the submission date.
Do not withdraw your application, you may receive an ITA in the next Express Entry draw.

Including the latest Express Entry draw, the department has so far invited 33,940 candidates to apply for Canada PR. Express Entry PNP Draws are special draws held by Canada's immigration system to invite candidates nominated by a Canadian province or territory. Normally, Express Entry manages applications for skilled workers through three programs, Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class.
However, if a province wants certain workers to meet its labour needs, it can nominate candidates through its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). When you get a nomination from a province, you receive an extra 600 points added to your Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This almost guarantees that you will get an invitation to apply for Canada PR in the next Express Entry draw.
In a PNP-specific draw, only those who have a provincial nomination are selected. The CRS cut-off score for these draws is usually higher than regular draws because candidates already have those extra 600 points.
Different provinces like Ontario, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Alberta, and Saskatchewan regularly invite candidates through their own streams linked to Express Entry Program. If you don’t have a very high CRS score, getting a provincial nomination is a great way to boost your chances of immigrate to Canada.
