Latest PEI PNP draw invites from Labour and Express Entry!

On June 1, 2023, Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) conducted its first invitation round of the month.

This latest Prince Edward Island PNP draw only invited Labor and Express Entry candidates. No Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations were issued on the June 1st PEI PNP draw. The previous such draw was held on May 04th, 2023.

Who was invited?

• Labor & Express Entry: 97 invitations.

Over the last 12 months, the Prince Edward Island PNP has issued a total of 92 invitations to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates and 2,256 invitations to Labor & Express Entry candidates.

PEI’s Labor and Express Entry stream

Applying under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Labor and Express Entry streams provides individuals with a pathway to immigrate to the picturesque province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) in Canada.

The Labor stream is designed for individuals who have a valid job offer from a PEI employer. This stream aims to address labor market needs in the province by attracting skilled workers who possess the necessary qualifications and experience in occupations that are in demand. Candidates must demonstrate the intention to live and work in PEI and meet the specific criteria outlined by the PNP.

On the other hand, the Express Entry stream is aligned with the federal Express Entry system. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for one of the three federal economic immigration programs (Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, or Canadian Experience Class) can express their interest in immigrating to PEI through the Express Entry system. The PEI PNP then selects eligible candidates from the Express Entry pool who have indicated their interest in settling in PEI.

Successful candidates who receive a nomination from the PEI PNP under either the Labor or Express Entry streams can then apply for permanent residency with the Canadian federal government.
