Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted a new Expression of Interest (EOI) draw on March 23, 2023 – issuing a total of 566 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to candidates from three streams managed under the MPNP: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker Overseas.

This was the third consecutive time that Manitoba conducted an EOI draw where Skilled Workers in Manitoba were invited under “occupation-specific” and “all occupation” categories. The previous one-of-a-kind draw was held on March 9.

• Ranking score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited: 612

Profiles with current employment in Manitoba in occupations with the highest labor shortages identified in the Manitoba in-demand occupation list were considered in this category. The occupations under the following National Occupation Classification (NOC) major groups were considered in this draw:

• 72 - Technical trades and transportation officers and controllers
• 74 - Mail and message distribution, other transport equipment operators and related maintenance workers
• 75 - Helpers and laborers and other transport drivers, operators and laborers
• 94 - Machine operators, assemblers and inspectors in processing, manufacturing and printing
• 95 - Laborers in processing, manufacturing and utilities

All occupations

• Number of Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) issued: 200
• Ranking score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited: 672

International Education Stream

• Number of Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) issued: 52

Skilled Worker Overseas

• Number of Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) issued: 48
• Ranking score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited: 708

Out of the total 566 Letters of Advice issued in the latest Manitoba draw - 82 LAAs were issued to candidates showcasing a valid Express Entry ID and Job Seeker validation code.

How can you apply for Manitoba PNP?

To apply for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), you will need to follow these general steps:

• Determine your eligibility: Check whether you meet the eligibility requirements for one of the Manitoba PNP streams. There are various streams available such as Skilled Worker Overseas, Skilled Worker in Manitoba, International Education Stream, Business Investor Stream, etc.
• Create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile: If you meet the eligibility criteria, you need to create an EOI profile on the Manitoba PNP's online system. You will be required to provide personal information, education and work experience, language proficiency test scores, and other details to complete your EOI.
• Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA): Your EOI profile will be scored based on Manitoba's points system. If you meet the minimum score required for the stream you applied for, you will receive an ITA.
• Submit a Provincial Nomination Application: Once you receive an ITA, you will need to submit a full application for a provincial nomination to the Manitoba PNP within 60 days. You will need to provide all the required documentation, such as proof of education and work experience, language proficiency test scores, and other supporting documents.
• Wait for a Decision: After you submit your application, Manitoba PNP will review it and make a decision. If your application is approved, you will receive a provincial nomination certificate, which you can use to apply for permanent residency to the federal government of Canada.
