Prince Edward Island conducted a new draw on 15th February 2024. 

The PEI PNP latest draw issued 122 invitations to candidates under the Labour & Express Entry and Business Work Permit Entrepreneur streams. This was the third invitation round conducted by PEI in 2024. 

The previous draws were held on 1st February and 18th January 2024.

• Labour & Express Entry: 121 invitations with a minimum EOI score of 65
• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur: 1 invitation with a minimum EOI score of 105

Over the last 12 months, the Prince Edward Island PNP has issued a total of 2,253 invitations to Labour & Express Entry candidates and 54 invitations to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates.

• Labor & Express Entry invitations over the last 12 months: 98%
• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations over the last 12 months: 2%

Selection factors

The PEI EOI system gathers important information about candidates in the pool to rank and select those who are most likely to meet Prince Edward Island’s economic and labour market needs, based on one or more of the following attributes:

• Language: English or French
• Education: level and field of education and where completed
• Skill and work experience level
• Strategic priorities: attributes that would address immediate labour market needs in PEI
• Other factors relevant to employment prospects: including, but not limited to having a job offer in PEI and/or previous Canadian work experience

Candidates invited to apply in this draw will receive an email notification that will include their file number and instructions for submission of the complete application to the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

The PEI PNP latest draw inlines with the recently announced PEI PNP draw schedule for 2024. PEI is the only Canadian province that makes its draw schedule public in advance.

We can expect 23 PEI PNP draws in 2024. 

To immigrate to PEI, you must first create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile. The EOI profile includes your personal information, education, work experience, language proficiency, and more. Once you submit your application, you will be assigned a score in the PEI PNP points calculator. The higher your score, the more your chances of getting nominated.

Following a thorough review of the application submitted to the Office of Immigration, PEI nominates successful candidates to apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent residency. Most PEI PNP applications are processed in 6 months or less.

The next PEI PNP draw is scheduled to be conducted on 29 February 2024.
