Prince Edward Island PNP has conducted its first invitation round of the month.

The PEI PNP latest draw held on March 21, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 85 candidates under both Business Work Permit Entrepreneur and Labour & Express Entry categories.

This draw is in line with the PEI PNP draw schedule for 2024. PEI is the only Canadian province that makes its draw schedule public in advance. We can expect 23 PEI PNP draws in 2024.

The PEI Expression of Interest (EOI) system gathers important information about candidates in the pool and invites those who are most likely to meet Prince Edward Island’s economic and labour market needs. The PEI EOI selection process is based on one or more of the following attributes:

• Language: English or French
• Education: level and field of education and where completed
• Skill and work experience level
• Strategic priorities: attributes that would address immediate labour market needs in PEI
• Other factors relevant to employment prospects: including but not limited to having a job offer in PEI and/or previous Canadian work experience.

In 2023, Prince Edward Island PNP issued 2,422 invitations across 22 draws. According to the 2024 draw schedule, we can expect 23 draws this year.

Historical and Forecasted Immigration Targets

To immigrate through the Prince Edward Island PNP, you must first create an EOI profile. The EOI profile will include details of the selection factors mentioned above. Once you submit your profile, you will be placed in the EOI pool - along with other candidates. Here, you will be invited based on the information provided in the profile and the minimum score in PEI’s point grid.

Apart from the date of the draw and category, the PEI PNP does not publish the minimum score and selection attributes beforehand. It usually depends on the application inventory and labour market needs.
