Who is eligible for Quebec RSWP?

The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program is an immigration program designed for individuals who wish to settle permanently in Quebec, Canada, and who have the skills and experience required to contribute to the province's economy. To be eligible for this program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: You must have at least a high school diploma or an equivalent degree. Quebec's Ministry of Immigration recognizes certain foreign diplomas and degrees, but you may be required to have your educational credentials assessed by an approved agency to determine their equivalency to a Quebec diploma or degree.
  • Language proficiency: You must be proficient in French, which is the primary language spoken in Quebec. You will need to take a language test to demonstrate your proficiency in French. You may also need to demonstrate proficiency in English, which is the other official language of Canada.
  • Work experience: You must have at least one year of work experience in a skilled occupation in the last five years. Your work experience must be in a high-demand occupation in Quebec.
  • Age: There is no age limit to apply for the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program. However, applicants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Financial resources: You must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family members in Quebec while you establish yourself.
  • Adaptability: Quebec immigration authorities will also consider your adaptability to living in Quebec, including factors such as your education, work experience, language proficiency, family situation, and ties to Quebec.

Quebec has a unique immigration system, and the province has its own selection criteria and application process. You will need to apply to the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, Francisation, and Integration and go through a selection process to be considered for the program.
