Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the fourth invitation round held by the province in 2025. The previous PEI PNP draw was held on 20 March.
If you have been invited to the latest PEI PNP draw, you will receive an email with your file number and instructions for submitting your permanent residence (PR) application. At this stage, you will be required to complete the application forms, whereas your employer must fill out the employer forms.
The latest PEI PNP draw was held on 17 April, 2025. A total of 168 candidates from PEI’s Labour and Express Entry stream were invited to apply for PR.
Invitation Date | No. of Invitations | Selection Attributes |
17 April 2025 | 168 | Invitations were extended to individuals working in occupations and priority sectors based on economic impact in Prince Edward Island. The focus was on people working and living in Prince Edward Island for a minimum of one year. In addition, international graduates from UPEI, Holland College, and Collège de l'Île were prioritized in the invitations. |
Selection Factors
This draw aligns with the announced PEI PNP draw schedule for 2025. Prince Edward Island is the only province in Canada that publicly shares its draw schedule. The first PEI PNP draw of 2025 took place on January 24, even though it wasn’t included in the province’s announced draw schedule.
For 2025, a total of 11 PEI PNP draws are expected.
In 2024, the PEI conducted 16 draws that invited 1,048 candidates under both the Labour & Express Entry Stream and the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Stream. The province is yet to conduct a draw for the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Stream in 2025.
Creating an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile is the first step to immigrating through the Prince Edward Island PNP. The EOI profile will include the selection factors mentioned above. Once you submit your profile, it will be placed in the EOI, along with other profiles.
Subsequently, you will be assigned a score based on the details provided in your EOI profile. If you meet the minimum score requirements and other eligibility criteria, you will be invited to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR).
The province is currently selecting skilled workers in higher-demand sectors such as Healthcare, Trades, Manufacturing, and other key industries facing labour shortages. Individuals working in the Sales and Service sector may not receive an invitation to apply at this time.
Currently, 80% of applications under the PEI PNP are being processed within 8 to 10 months.
